Lilla Åstjärn is open for put and take fishing during the summer and stocking of ready-to-catch rainbow trout takes place continuously.
At Stora Åstjärn there is a rest hut and three jetties. The pond is difficult to fish but has a good trout population.
Orrsjön is a good excursion destination for the whole family, with windbreaks, jetties, barbecue areas, toilets, a disabled-accessible jetty and toilets.

Njurunda Södra Fiskevårdsområdesförening is a non-profit association responsible for the management of the fishing waters in southern Njurunda.
The aim is to offer fishing rights holders and the public good opportunities for recreational fishing and a rich outdoor life in our area.
The work carried out includes the planting of fish according to an annual plan, road maintenance, care and maintenance of piers, and where applicable, the addition of new piers.
At some ponds there are disabled bridges so that as many people as possible can take part in positive nature experiences and fishing.
Other tasks that are carried out regularly include sanitation, cleaning and supervision of toilets, etc. in the area.
Supervision of fishing is carried out with the help of special Supervisors.
